HASS Kiosk / Privacy

Privacy policy

Last updated 22 July 2026

The short version: HASS Kiosk collects no data. There are no accounts, no analytics and no tracking. The app talks only to the Home Assistant server you configure, and nothing about you or your home is ever sent to Madhaus.

What the app stores

The app stores your configuration - server address, access token, dashboard layout - on the device only. It never uploads it anywhere. Deleting the app deletes it.

Where the app connects

HASS Kiosk makes network requests only to:

There are no other endpoints. The app contains no third-party analytics, advertising or crash-reporting frameworks.

Optional features that write to your server

Two opt-in features publish data, and both publish it only to your own Home Assistant server, where you control it:

Both are off by default and never involve any server operated by us.

The demo

Demo mode uses sample data built into the app and makes no network requests at all.

This website

madhaus.uk uses Plausible, a cookie-less, privacy-friendly analytics tool that we host ourselves, to count page views. It collects no personal data and does not track you across sites.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll publish the new version here with a new date. We don't expect it to change in substance.
